McHenry Sportsman’s Club Newsletter (January 2009)
PRACTICE ROUND PRICE - Practice round prices will remain the same.
FINANCIAL STATUS - January was a good month for January financially.
The only major expense for the month was the lease payment of $1,500.
TRAP OPERATIONS - The Club threw 984 practice rounds in January which was 34% more than January 2008.
Target costs were $2,076 in January.
- Trap 3 continues to be difficult in the cold weather, breaking targets and windmilling.
The placement of a space heater in the trap house has resolved these problems for the time being.
The trap house has heaved and the floor of the house has been shimmed to offset the tilt.
We will be able to adjust the trap house in the spring.
- Trap 2 stopped throwing left hand targets.
The limit switches that control the movement of the trap were adjusted to resolve the problem.
It is unknown why the left limit switch moved.
PROJECTS - Harvey Scharlau repaired the target tractor tire and trailer tire.
NEW TRAP - The new Pat Trap is to be shipped on March 15th.
WINTER JACKRABBIT - Support your club by shooting the Jack Rabbit.
Take the opportunity to travel to other clubs each Sunday for a 50 target shoot.
